Fearne Cotton makes shoe faux pas
Female shoppers are notorious for their love of buying women's shoes and many a pair can be found in most wardrobes, shoe racks and porches.
The items serve a range of purposes, with some being used for sport, others being enjoyed for their comforting properties and certain pairs restricted to use on particular occasions, such as while on the beach during those long-awaited summer holidays.
However, the role of most women's shoes is to make their wearers look good - whether it be at the office, on a night out or on a day trip around town.
With this in mind, celebrity Fearne Cotton may be looking back with embarrassment on a recent ladies fashion faux pas she made.
The TV and radio presenter and voice over artist, who is usually immaculately dressed, forgot to remove a particular detail after purchasing footwear, OK! Magazine reports.
She left both the labels on her shoes, meaning the world could see exactly how much she paid for them.
Commenting on the incident, the news source said: "Oh dear, leaving the price tag on your heels is never a good look, especially not for a celebrity."
Cotton headed into work at the Radio One studios in the morning accidentally displaying the tags.
"Thankfully, [her] saving grace was the fact that - aside from the fashion mishap - the rest of her outfit looked fab," the magazine added.
She was adorned in a vintage Siouxsie Soux t-shirt tucked into a pair of rolled-up, blue, high waist trousers and was carrying a Marc Jacobs bag with her.
Keen not to make the ladies fashion error again, Cotton soon rectified the problem and emerged for work the following day with not a label in sight.
The star, who has presented shows such as Top of the Pops and the Red Nose telethon, recently took over BBC Radio One's weekday mid-morning programme from previous host Jo Whiley.
